Kilkenny's bid for a 15th NHL title could be derailed by injuries.
As the countdown continues to Sunday week's decider against Cork in Thurles, Brian Cody is without long-term absentees Henry Shefflin, Richie Hogan and Lester Ryan, while Michael Rice, Noel Hickey and Aidan Fogarty have also sustained knocks.
The latter is definitely out of contention as he is set to miss up to six weeks with a fractured wrist.
The manager has bolstered his squad by calling in Padraig Walsh (a younger brother of Tommy's), Tomas Breen and Paddy Hogan.
