Slow start concerns Hoban
August 16, 2010
Kilkenny intermediate hurling boss Pat Hoban wasn't completely satisfied with his side's 14-point defeat of Galway in Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final at Tullamore.
The Cats will now face Cork in the final after producing a dominant second half display to run out 0-24 to 0-10 winners, but Hoban stressed the need for a more consistent display.
"We really didn't get going in the opening half," he said.
"Galway stayed in the game very much. In the second half we upped it a bit and Galway faded slightly. But really it took us 40 minutes before we got going."
St. Lachtain's clubman Eoin Guinan was the star of the show for the Cats, finishing with a personal haul of 0-14.
