Under age training continues every Friday night from 6-30. The youngsters are currently training for our annual tournament .Which takes place on Saturday the 11th of September. The competition is being kindly sponsored this year by J H Fitzpatrick .The under 6s,8s,10s,12s and 14s boys get the chance to play in a one off final and is always very enjoyable for all concerned.The girls competition will take place a week later.
The under 16s played the semi-final of the championship on Friday night last at home to two mile house and what a game it was.A draw match at full time and in extra time were down by 9 points .But fair play to the young lads they never gave up and clawed there way back into the game to finish level once again.Final score Monasterevan 5-10 - Two mile house 4-13. The replay will be held on Friday evening in two mile house at 6-30 so please come along and support them.
The minors qualified for the semi-final of the championship with a hard fought 6 point win.Played in round towers the lads were one point down at half time ,but put in a good second half performance against a very gamey Kilcullen side.Final score Monasterevan 0-15 -Kilcullen 1 -06.
The under 10s played in a blitz in Ballykelly on Saturday morning .While going down to Castlemitchell they recorded a good win over Ballykelly.
Monasterevan and Raheens shared the points in the B championship on Friday evening.Final score Monasterevan 1-11 Raheens 2-08.
