The quest to find a replacement for Andy Comerford as Kildare senior hurling manager looks to be nearing a conclusion as the county board get set to make an announcement.

Eight people were interviewed for the position and it is believed that the hurling board have chosen the man they want to lead the Lilywhite hurlers next year.

However, the appointment must be ratified by the county board, but that should be a formality and an announcement is expected to be made in the coming days. Tweet
