O'Sullivan rues Buckley departure

Donie Buckley will be a loss because he brought a lot of experience to the table.
Kerry chairman Patrick O'Sullivan has expressed his disappointment at Donie Buckley's decision to resign as senior team coach.
The Castleisland man, who is considered to be one of the top coaches in the game, quit Jack O'Connor's management team over the weekend after a four-month absence from the set-up due to knee surgery.
"Donie will be a loss because he brought a lot of experience to the table and fresh ideas and was very popular among the players. However this year, he had an operation which meant he was late coming back and Alan O'Sullivan had a lot of work done with the lads so it was very difficult for Donie coming back," the Kerry chairman said in the Irish Examiner.
"Jack O'Connor selects his backroom team and we as county board support him and, hopefully, things will work out well for Kerry this year."
