Kerry's Darran O'Sullivan hopes to play even better in 2012 (!)
It's a frightening prospect for the Kingdom's opponents but the 2011 Footballer of the Year nominee believes he can build on the outstanding form he showed last season and inspire his county to Sam Maguire glory.
"The older you get and the more you play, then the more people expect from you," he says in The Star. "But I put more pressure on myself than anyone else and I expect to step it up another level again this season.
"I am aiming to keep my place on the Kerry team and I expect to be one of the main fellas. I want to give that extra bit more and and try and bring it on another level.
"You can't stand still. You can't rest on your laurels and say 'well, I had a good year in 2011'.
"Having a good year is not good enough. I want to top it off with an All-Ireland and go that one step further this season."
