NHL 3A: Kerry survive late scare

February 28, 2010
Kerry 1-18
Mayo 2-14

Kerry survived an injury-time goal from Mayo's Kenny Robinson today to take away two points from McHale Park, Castlebar and maintain their place at the summit of Division 3A.

Mayo's Ronan Cullinane had been the difference between the sides after the opening 35 minutes, as the Castlegar attacker's goal had sent the Connacht men in at the break leading by 1-8 to 0-10.

However, within five minutes of the restart the visitors bagged their goal through John Mike Dooley and from there they never looked back, as an awesome point from Mike Conway a minute shy of injury-time sent the Kingdom four clear going into the added minutes, where a Robinson's goal wasn't enough for the Westerners.
