Nine SFC games down for decision this weekend
June 19, 2009
There are nine Kerry senior football championship fixtures down for decision this weekend, throwing up some interesting clashes across the county.
On Friday, An Ghaeltacht take on a depleted St Kiernans side at Gallarus, while Kilcummin welcome East Kerry in the evening's other fixture.
Saturday sees four games take place, the first of which is the meeting between St Brendan's and Austin Stacks in Kilmoyley. Stacks, even without the services of Kieran Donaghy, should have enough to come through, as should South Kerry against Rathmore when the two sides clash at Cahersiveen. The other two games see Kenmare and Ardfert and West Kerry and Dr Crokes play at 8.00pm, where the latter two teams from each game will be fancied to progress.
On Sunday all games throw-in at 3.00pm, when Mid Kerry and Kerins O'Rahillys will be expected to come out on top of their respective meetings with Laune Rangers and Dingle. The other game in Listowel between Feale and St Michaels/Foilmore should see the, seemingly, more formidable Rangers take a win.
