Kerry include Walsh

June 11, 2009
Tommy Walsh has been named at full forward on the Kerry team for Saturday's Munster SFC semi-final replay against Cork, despite suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury in last Sunday's drawn encounter. The other big talking point is the return of Darragh O Se to the team after he started on the bench last weekend. O Se renews his midfield partnership with Tommy Griffin, who switches from centre half back, with Micheal Quirke losing out and Tadhg Kennelly moving to wing forward. Team captain Darran O'Sullivan misses out with a broken nose, while Donncha Walsh also drops out of the starting XV. In O'Sullivan's absence, Bryan Sheehan - whose last-gasp free earned Kerry a replay last Sunday - starts at top of the left, while the fit-again Killian Young fills the vacancy left by Griffin in the half back line, with Aidan O'Mahony now in the centre. Kerry (SF v Cork): D Murphy; M O Se, T O'Sullivan, P Reidy; T O Se, A O'Mahony, K Young; D O Se, T Griffin; P Galvin, Declan O'Sullivan, T Kennelly; C Cooper, T Walsh, B Sheehan.
