Brady does the business again

May 05, 2008
Cavan's Paul Brady won his fourth consecutive All-Ireland Senior Singles handball title at Abbeylara, county Longford with victory over Cork ace Tony Healy. The Mullahoran native had to pull out all the stops though to win through after the Cork man came bouncing back to win the second game. Brady impressed greatly in the first game as he opened up an 8-1 lead before eventually winning the game by 21-7. Healy was unable to contain the power of Brady in the opening 45 minutes but the Corkman found a new lease of life in the second game and deservedly won it by 21-14. However it was Brady who had more left in the tank, crossing the finishing line in some style as he romped to a 21-2 win.
