GMIT warmed up for the Fitzgibbon Cup with a hammering of Roscommon by 2-17 to 0-8 at Athleague on Saturday.

The Rossies battled hard in the first half and points from Gary and Gerry Fallon kept them in touch with the students who had a ninth minute goal scored by Niall Mannion, which lead to the half time score being 1-5 to 0-6.

GMIT's greater fitness told in the second half as they pulled away to record a comfortable victory. Tweet
