Tribesmen to line out for clubs on Sunday

June 19, 2009
A number of Galway's senior hurlers will be asked to line out for their clubs this Sunday, less than 24 hours after their historic Leinster SHC semi-final meeting with All-Ireland champions Kilkenny. County players who have saw their respective clubs' championship games re-fixed for this weekend are set to play a second game in as many days, as the Galway Hurling Board look to complete the group stages of the competition. The situation is not an ideal one for Galway boss John McIntyre, who will be looking to let his players recuperate for a provincial final, the qualifiers or even a replay, but nonetheless three club championship games are down for decision at the weekend.
