Donoghue to remain at camogie helm

December 12, 2008
Former Galway goalkeeper Liam Donoghue has seen off stiff competition to remain as the county camogie manager for another year. Donoghue was part of a management team that included Connacht hurling director Damien Coleman and Anne Broderick, but Coleman opted to run against the Liam Mellows clubman. Last year, Galway reached the All-Ireland final where they were defeated by Cork in the decider, but Coleman opted to present his own management team for the role this year. However, the camogie board voted 34 to 22 in favour of Donoghue and he will be in charge once again with the first match of the New Year scheduled against Cork in the league on March 1st.
