Corrigan hopeful of causing upset

February 10, 2012
St. Michael's manager Dominic Corrigan is hoping his side can upset Omagh CBS in tomorrow's MacRory Cup quarter-final at Brewster Park (throw-in 11am).

"Omagh will be hot favourites and no-one can deny that, but we have been working away quietly and we have been happy with our progress. Of course it will all come down to the day and how we perform, but if we play to the level that we can, then we will be in with a chance," he told the Fermanagh Herald.

The former Fermanagh boss acknowledges the need for St. Michael's to show a big improvement on their performance against the same opposition in the McCormack Cup final, which took place before Christmas.

"We know what we have to do. We cannot afford to give Omagh the same space but, by the same token, we don't want to go out and be negative. We want to express ourselves and play our own football."
