Fermanagh squad named
February 03, 2012
Peter Canavan has named a 35-man Fermanagh panel for the National Football League.
Marty McGrath and Tommy McElroy have been included, despite being a few weeks away from returning to full fitness. Canavan admitted it was difficult to tell players they hadn't made the cut.
"It was tough to pick the squad and you feel for the lads who have worked hard over the last four weeks and given total commitment and it certainly not something that you want to do," he said in the Fermanagh Herald.
"But I suppose it shows the appetite that was there to play for Fermanagh and we feel we would have a very balanced squad with competition for places in every area of the pitch."
Fermanagh (NFL squad): Michael Jones, Ryan Jones, Paul Ward, Shane Lyons, Ronan Gallagher, Barry Owens, James Sherry, Conor Quigley, Sean Quigley, Seamus Quigley, Ryan McCluskey (captain), Chris Breen, Declan McCusker, Marty McGrath, Chris Snow, Tommy McElroy, Mark Little, Johnny Woods, Brian Og Maguire, Daniel Kille, Niall McElroy, Tomas Corrigan, Niall Bogue, Ryan Keenan, Darryl Keenan, Damien Kelly, Paul Cosgrove, Pat Cadden, Eamon Maguire, Kane Connors, Eoin Donnelly, Shane McCabe, Niall McGovern, Brian Cox and Barry Mulrone.
