INAGURAL TAIN HURLING COMPETION 2012

The inaugural Tain Senior Hurling Club Competition organised mostly by the Ulster Council and with the active support of Central Council of they Gaelic Athletic Association pucks off on Saturday 4th February 2012 at 2.00 pm at many venues the in thirteen counties of Antrim, Armagh, Cavan, Derry, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Monaghan, Sligo and Tyrone. This is the most ambitious project yet undertaken by the G.A.A. to promote senior hurling at a club level, with first time teams from local level from the provinces of Connaught, Leinster and Ulster taking part. Local interest will be mostly focussed on Divisions 3b and 5a. Where Lisnaskea Emmett's, Lisbellaw St Patrick's and Knock Grattan's will do battle in their respective divisions. Where Lisnaskea Emmett's and Lisbellaw St Patrick's compete in Division 3b with their arch Fermanagh rivals Lisbellaw St Patrick's compete for that group's honours. They Erne clubs, whilst competing against each other also battle against Sean MacCumhal's of Donegal, Na Magha of Derry, Castleblaney of Monaghan and Shamrocks of Newry and Down. Fermanagh's other hurling club Knock Grattan's will compete in Division 5a against Clonguish of Longford, Carrickmacross of Monaghan of St Fechin's of county Louth, Ballinamore of Leitrim.
