Down legend Sean O'Neill
Legendary Down footballer Sean O'Neill was impressed by Fermanagh's performance against Queen's University last Sunday.

The three-time All-Ireland winner, who is vice-president of Queen's GFC, was in Brewster Park last Sunday to see Peter Canavan's new charges account for the students on a 2-13 to 0-10 scoreline.

"I expected them to be tough opposition, and so they were. They played very bright, progressive football and they're obviously relishing the new management of Peter Canavan and his team," he told the Fermanagh Herald.

O'Neill also had praise for Seamus Quigley, who scored 1-8 for the second game running.

"He's a very, very talented player. Some of his scores were extraordinary. Normally, they would not be expected, and he's very good at presenting for the ball and he's a very big factor going forward.

"In saying that, I don't think he's fully fit, and when he gets more training under him . . . sure he played some super football in the (Ulster) championship two years ago."
