Canavan: Tyrone to provide "good test"
January 17, 2012

Fermanagh manager Peter Canavan
Peter Canavan is looking forward to testing his Fermanagh side against his native Tyrone.
The O'Neill County legend will bring his new-look Ernesiders to Healy Park in Omagh tomorrow night for a game that'll determine who finishes top of Section A of the McKenna Cup.
There will be a lot of hype around the match due to the Canavan factor (and former Tyrone star Enda Kilpatrick is also part of the Fermanagh backroom), but the Errigal Ciaran clubman says in today's Irish News that it's going to be a good test for his embryonic side first and foremost:
"Together as a management, we said it's an ideal situation from the point of view of testing players.
"A lot of our players would admit themselves that their fitness levels aren't where they should be, but in terms of football it'll be a great experience for them and a good chance for us to see what we're made of.
"Everybody's well aware of the quality that exists in the Tyrone set-up so it'll be a good test for our boys and something that we're looking forward to.
"We'll have to do our mathematics but our boys are playing for a position on the league and championship panel, so it's more about performance than result and tomorrow night will be the same."
