Former Dublin star Dessie Farrell may be forced to call a halt to his footballing career after suffering a suspected torn cruciate ligament while playing with his club Na Fianna in a Dublin SFL clash with Thomas Davis last Wednesday evening. The former All-Star had to be carried off the pitch during the match after going over on his right knee and is now awaiting results of a scan to see whether it is as serious as first thought. Tweet
