Naughton resigned to losing Connolly

January 11, 2007
Dublin hurling team-manager Tommy Naughton has admitted that he'll have to plan for the season ahead without the services of ace dual player Dermot Connolly. The former star minor, colleges and under 21 player has decided to commit himself 100% to the cause of Dublin football for 2007 and the Metropolitans' hurling chief has resigned himself to being without the St. Vincent's man. "Dermot will be concentrating on the football," Naughton explained. "We went down that road already and it will not be happening. We will be going with what we have." There was some good news for Naughton though with the return to the county panel of Stephen Hiney and Emmet Carroll.
