Plunkett's to appeal board decision

October 17, 2006
St. Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh have lodged an appeal with the Leinster Council in the hope of being reinstated to the Dublin SFC. The Navan Road outfit lost their recent quarter-final to Na Fianna, but subsequently objected to the eligibility of Na Fianna's Gary Mullins. Plunkett's lost their appeal to the Dublin GAC and now they have decided to take their case to the provincial body. Both Dublin SFC semi-finals were postponed last Thursday, and the championship could face further delays as a result of Plunkett's appeal.
