Jayo: I just can't go against Dublin

Dublin's Jason Sherlock

Jason Sherlock expects Dublin to have too much firepower for Donegal on Sunday.

When the two counties met in their infamous All-Ireland SFC semi-final of three years ago, Dublin won a on a 0-8 to 0-6 scoreline and, having captured the Sam Maguire twice since then, Jayo feels they are only getting better.

"A lot of water has flowed under the bridge for both teams since then," the former 'Darling of the Hill' writes in the Irish Daily Star.

"Dublin have improved, but are Donegal better? I'm not so sure. Donegal deserve enormous credit for the way they've bounced back from a disastrous 2013.

"Last year, they were relegated, lost the Ulster final and were hammered by Mayo at Croker. So, for Donegal to bounce back, win Ulster and come from behind to beat Armagh with time running out says a lot about them.

"They have pulled out all the stops with a five-day training camp in Johnstown House last week. For some key players, this might be their last shot at the All-Ireland. That can drive you on, but it can also heap pressure on you.

"Going through the match-ups and form-line to date, I just can't go against Dublin. There is far more scoring power in Dublin than in Donegal. Ultimately, that will make the difference."
