Robertson joins Dublin's backroom team
January 31, 2012
Ian Robertson will fill the void left by Mickey Whelan on the Dublin football management team.
The Ballymun Kickhams man is a former captain of the Dublin side who had his career cut short by a series of recurring injuries.
The vastly experienced Whelan stood down from he role as an assistant to his St. Vincent's clubmate Pat Gilroy following the All-Ireland success last September. Efforts to make him reconsider that decision proved fruitless and Gilroy moved to bring Robertson into his management team.
The appointment was ratified at Monday night's meeting of the Dublin County Board.
