Corkery rues Dubs' naivety

Dublin's Niall Corkery
Niall Corkery believes Dublin lost last Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final to Cork because they were naïve.
The Dubs relinquished a five-point lead in the closing stages to lose by a point and wing forward Corkery admitted yesterday: "There were probably bits of naivety; having watched the game over now and we probably could have been a bit cuter at stages.
"I'll never make a manager because I don't really know where the game was lost. I'm still scratching my head here to be honest. When we got the two points after their goal, I thought we had it won but unfortunately not.
"The first time I thought we'd lose it was when they went ahead in the 68th minute or whatever it was. It's just gutting now."
He continued: "I think myself we can take hope from it. We weren't a million miles away from it and we were tweaking our game plan throughout the qualifiers. So given time we might pull things together and run it off a bit more sleekly next year."
