Gilroy stays grounded

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy
Dublin manager Pat Gilroy was keeping his feet firmly on the ground after their Leinster SFC semi-final rout of Westmeath, but acknowledged their improved showing on the Meath performance. "We're much happier today but there's things there that if we do them the next day, it won't be good enough," he said. "So, we have to be conscious of that and focus on being as analytical as we are of the good things as the bad. It's the analysis from within the group that's the really important thing. And we'd be fairly critical of some of the things we did today." Commenting on Dublin's vastly improved scoring conversion rate, Gilroy added: "Yeah, it was a hell of a lot better. "We still had a few bad misses but the option-taking was better today. Particularly in the first when it was still a game." Gilroy revealed that he didn't get to see all of Kildare's equally impressive defeat of Laois in the other semi-final on Saturday night due to a poor internet connection. "I was half watching it because I was trying to watch it on the internet," he explained. "They're playing very well and they're going to be a hard team to play and it's as simple as that. They've really got their act together and are tackling hard."
