Updates from the Castleknock, Clontarf, O'Dwyers, Naomh Olaf, Raheny, Ballyboden Wanderers, St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh, St Brigids, Na Fianna, St. Margarets, Erin go Bragh, Fingallians, Tyrrelstown, Lucan Sarsfields and Scoil Ui Chonaill clubs. Castleknock Our new pitches in Somerton are open for viewing next Sat 27th June from 2pm to 4pm. All members, supporters & friends are invited to visit Somerton and view the progress made and see how close we are to a new home for Castleknock GAA. Well done to the Anthony Daly and Dublin Hurlers, we are all looking forward to July 5th.  Best of luck to the Dublin footballers on Sunday. Tickets will be distributed in The Carpenter from 10.30pm on Thursday. The Castleknock GAA Summer Camps which are open to all boys & girls interested in hurling & football. The adult A footballers got back into the hunt for promotion from division 5 with a string of brilliant wins over the last week. On Tuesday they beat a strong Ballyboden Wanderers 3-12 to 3-09 and they topped it off with a win on Sunday over Good Counsel, beating them 2-10 to 3-05. The adult B footballers also had a game mid week against Adamstown and drew 1-10 to 2-07. Clontarf A good week for the Senior footballers with a win over Ballyboden and a draw V Monicas. Junior A's drew with Marys midweek and then defeated Olafs by 1 pt. Junior B's had a convincing midweek win over Brigids with a super team performance. Junior C's maintained their good gallop with a big win over Finians and a hard fought victory over Rosmini, thanks to 2 superb goals from James Durkin. Well done to our lads on the Dublin North U15 hurlers V Antrim, Niall Terry, Matias McDonagh and Ronan McDyer. U10 boys finished season with a well deserved win over Donaghmore. U10 girls had 2 narrow wins over Na Fianna. Nursery Finals Day was a great event, thanks to all who supported and helped organise. Tcts for Dubs match must be collected 9-10pm on Fri. Naomh Olaf It was a very busy week just gone by for the club. We had 140 of our juveniles taking part in our mini all ireland competition in both football and hurling/camogie. It was a fantastic event spread over the five nights and everyone enjoyed themselves. A huge thanks goes to Austen, our club coach, who co-ordinated the entire show and to all the mentors, helpers, -Mary & Gina -and to all the parents who came and supported the playwrs. Our Juvenile Draw was a fantastic success with 7,500 raised. These events do not happen by accident and huge thanks goes to Eileen Hickey, Club Registrar, who organised and co-ordinated the whole draw. Thanks to all members and friends who purchased tickets - it is very much appreciated by the club. Members of the Clubs Executive and some mentors had an open discussion with Árd Stiúrthóir CLG Paraic Ó Dufaigh when he visited out club last Wednesday. It was a great opportuinity for both parties to hear what is happening at different levels within the Association and we thank Paraic for visiting our club. Strong defensive performances from Andrew Gaffney and Bill Desmond along with goals from Davy Kelly (2) and Stephen Gallagher saw us over the line in front. Training on Thursday as we prepare for our next set of games. On a very positive note, Davey has made extraordinary progress in the national rehabilitation centre in Dunlaoighre, where he currently continues to re-build his life. The nursery and the Naoinra finished off for the summer holidays this week with fun and games and parties. The under 10 girls too played their last game and ended off with pitzas in the clubhouse.
