ACFL Div II Loughinisland - v - Carryduff
Despite missing a number of early opportunities from frees and open play in the first quarter of this tussle, Rory Mason's 7th minute conversion from a close free and a goal that involved the three O'Reilly brothers and saw Jamie finish to the Carryduff net, settled Loughinisland to exert control over the remainder of the game. A further point from Jonathan Flynnn extended their lead before Carryduff made any real impact up front. Points from Conall Early in the 16th (free), 17th and 24th minutes and a point from Jonny Henry (21st) brought Carryduff back into the game but they missed a few opportunities before the break as Conor McGoran pegged on another point to leave Loughinisland two points to the better on a 1-03 to 0-04 score-line at the break.

Carryduff missed a number of chances at the start of the second half and from there Loughinisland established a firmer grip on the game. Rory Mason pointed (32nd) and Carryduff keeper Lavery saved spectacularly at point blank range against Aidan Nixon, deflecting his pile driver over the bar. Substitutes Brendan Ward and Paddy McKinney contributed points in the 44th and 45th minutes and Mason added another from a free. Conor McGoran converted in the 54th and McKinney added again in the 58th minute.
A converted Conall Early free in the dying moments of the half was Carryduff's only return for the second half, leaving Loughinisland comfortable winners.

Ladies Senior Football Championship
Castlewellan - v - Carryduff (at Thomas Russell Park, Downpatrick)

Despite Castlewellan getting off to a good start and registering three points from the boot of Kelly O'Higgins before Carryduff opened their account, the Carryduff girls soon settled into their stride and points from Megan Doherty (8th), Jessica Foy (10th and 13th) and Hannah Magorrian (12th) after a scintillating solo run of over 60metres put Carryduff a point to the better. The Carryduff girls got a grip on the game courtesy of Erin Robinson's 15th minute goal. Castlewellan had opportunities to eat into Carryduff's lead but kicked a number of costly wides under pressure from an intense Carryduff defence. Laura Sharvin and Emily Duffy curtailed the supply of ball to Sarah McArdle and Aine Keown and frequent breaks from defence fro Hannah Magorrian and Eadaoin Early caused numerous problems for Castlewellan. Further Carryduff points from Megan Doherty(18th), Erin Robinson (22nd) and Hannah Magorrian wer to prove vital as Castlewellan Managed scores from Mairead hardy (20th) and two from Catherine Keown (25th and 26th). Kate McKay was on hand to follow the ball in to the heart of the Castlewellan defence and finish to the net in the 28th minute to establish a significant lead for Carryduff at the break. Carryduff 2-08 Castlewellan 0-06.

Carryduff had a dream start to the second half to demoralise Castlewellan as Jessica Foy clinically finished Carryduff's second goal. Niamh Molloy added a well-deserved point (32nd) before Mairead Hardy got one back for Castlewellan. Jessica Foy's 38th minute goal and points from Laura Sharvin (38th) and Niamh Molloy (42nd) put sixteen points between the teams and secured the game for Carryduff.
Karen McMullan (42nd), Sarah McArdle (45th) and substitute Anna Rogan (49th) added points for Castlewellan but a fifth Carryduff goal from Erin Robinson (44th) and two further points from Jess Foy (46th) and Laura Sharvin (57th) sealed the game and a comprehensive Carryduff victory on a final score-line of Carryduff 5-14 Castlewellan 0-10.
