Down hurling manager Gerard Monan was thrilled with his side's second half performance against Meath.
Trailing by 1-6 to 1-11 at the break, the Ardsmen hit 1-17 in a breathtaking second half display to claim a 2-23 to 1-19 victory and a place in the semi-finals of the Christy Ring Cup.
"It was a fantastic second half display," he enthused.
"We certainly made things hard for ourselves. It was a disappointing first half. We just did not turn up at all and the focus was not right. But in the second half we got our shape right and the work-rate was brilliant.
"The lads are putting it in at training and getting a win helps confidence and gives the boys more determination and that is a big bonus for us."
