Niamh Mallon is Captain of the Down Minor Camogie Team who are due to contest the All Ireland Minor 'C' Championship Final this Saturday, 5th May 2012, against Kerry at 2pm in Naas. Niamh is the daughter of hurling legend, Marty Mallon, and is one of the rising stars in Down Camogie. The Minor Team will also contest the Ulster Championship Final in June having beaten the newly crowned All Ireland Minor 'B' Champions, Derry, in the semi-final.

Lifeline's Manager, Pauline O'Flynn, praised the Down Minor Camogie Team's decision to wear the 'Lifeline' logo on their team jersey thanks to an anonymous donor. She said,
