Ballymartin GAC Club Notes
April 30, 2012
* The Seniors travelled to Durmnaquoile on a bitterly cold Friday 27 April to take on St.John's for their round seven match. Ballymartin had a few injury worries, and as the game went on, they took everything in their stride. Great play from Kieran & Ryan O'Hare and Ryan McCullagh on the front line kept the scores notching up, giving a half-time lead of 1-06 vs. 0-02 for Ballymartin. The Reds had the wind and the sun on their backs in the second period, and after six minutes had clawed back 3 scores and were handed a penalty and things were looking tight for Ballymartin. But the dazzling Patrick McManus had other ideas and when the ball was struck Paddy was all over it. The ball was high to the top left corner and Paddy lunged out, he palmed it away for a fifty. This was a great result St John's 1-07 V 1-11 Ballymartin, but Ballymartin have a lot of work to do as St.John's WON hands down when it came to Hospitality...
