ACFL Div II kilclief v Carryduff 27 April 2012
Carryduff collected their first two points in All-County Football League Division II on Friday evening with a with a hard fought one point win in blustery Kilclief. Playing with the wind in the first half Carryduff failed to take full advantage and the accuracy of Ricky Kerr for Kilclief meant there was little to chose between the sides. A Barry O'Neill goal had given Carryduff impetus but the half finished Kilclief 0-5 Carryduff 1-3.

Against a stiff wind Carryduff started the second half in fine form scoring 1-5 to Kilclief's solitary point, Conor Beatty on target for the goal. Kilclief then started to make better use of the wind clawing their way back into the game and a goal five minutes from time reduced the difference to 2 points. Kilclief were finishing strongly but Carryduff held out to win by a single point.

ACPRFL Div I Carryduff v Burren 29 April 2012

A first half goal when playing into a strong breeze proved decisive for St Mary's burren when they visited Páirc Aodha Dhuibh. The sides had traded a couple of points apiece in the opening quarter but Burren's goal in the 14th minute of the half provided them a cushion and they used it to their advantage. Three further points in a three minute period left Carryduff chasing Burren's six point lead. Carryduff failed to capitalise on the strong wind advantage and Burren defended very well for the remainder of the half confining Carryduff to a single further point from Ciaran Conway in the 20th minute. Burren's advantage could have extended further but a shot on goal went to the right of the post and wide.

Half-time score; Carryduff 0-03 Burren 1-05

Burren opened the scoring in the sixth minute of the second half. Burren enjoyed the benefit of the string breeze to their backs but Carryduff managed to contain Burren's efforts until the middle of the half.

At this stage, however, Burren added a further four points in as many minutes to end the game as a contest. Carryduff struggled to work the ball forward and Burren's rear guard managed to control the efforts made by Carryduff's inside line. Carryduff defended well for the last ten minutes confining Burren to a further point from a converted free in the final minute.

Final score; Carryduff 0-03 Burren 1-11.

The Carryduff Team was;- Stephen Quinn, Thomas Artherton, Cconor Cassidy, Donough Smyth, Paddy Craig, Gavin Kelly, Ciaran Goodwin, Tony McMahon, Peter Lavery, Mark McConville, Ciaran Conway, Richard Carey, Niall McArdle, Ciaran Conway, Shane Flaherty.

EDRFL Bryansford v Carryduff Sunday 29 April 2012

Carryduff thirds suffered a four point defeat in a wet St Patrick's Park, Newcastle when they met Bryansford on Sunday evening. The game was played on a thirteen-a side basis. McConville opened the scoring for Carryduff converting a 45 metre free. Bryansford settled into their stride and pegged off a few points. Two fine saves from Cormac McCrory kept Carryduff in contention before Conor McCarroll's goal gave the visitors greater hope. However, Bryansford's ability to pick off long range points enabled them to settle into the ascendancy to lead at half-time on a score-line of Bryansford 1-08 Carryduff 1-04.

Carryduff continued to compete in the second half and frees from McConville kept them in contention. However wastefulness in front of the posts cost them dearly, particularly two wides when goals went a-begging. The Bryansford keeper also did his bit to keep his team ahead pulling of a point blank save in the middle of the second half. Despite Carryduff keeping Bryansford out from scoring close in on goal, Bryansford's ability to pick off points from distance was the fundamental difference between the two teams and Bryansford prevailed on a final score of Bryansford 1- 13 Carryduff 2-06

The Carryduff team was;- Cormac McCrory, Darren Laverty, Dermie Magorrian, Plunkett Kelly, Mikey Gilmore, Aidan Cullen, Eóin Óg Conway (0-01), Mark McConville (1-03), Conor McCarroll (1-00), James Lavery (0-01), Gareth Lynch (0-01), Liam Lavery, Eamon Quinn
