*Every Tuesday in January and every Tuesday thereafter An Riocht presents 'Ceol, Caint Agus Craic' Rhythm & Rhyme Time from 7.45pm - Calling all budding musicians, singers and artists to join us for our weekly get together and seisiun. It's an opportunity for all ages and levels of ability to practice instruments practice the language, learn new songs and tunes guaranteed fun and plenty of craic.

*An Riocht's second Annual Fight Night will take place on Saturday 18th February. If you are interested in fighting contact Paddy Cole or contact the club asap.

* 'The Pitch' tickets are on sale and are priced at £5. The Pitch will take to the stage on Wednesday 25th January at An Riocht, it's only County Down performance, and admission will be by ticket only. Anyone who has ever had the pride of playing for the jersey should make a point of seeing academy award winning Shane Connaughton's play; to book tickets please phone 028 4176 3681 or email [email protected]

*DVD of the clubs annual dinner dance and 30th year celebrations are available from the club. Priced at £10

* An Riocht Senior Football Training will resume Monday 16th January in the Sports hall; all players are asked to bring £1 and their own water bottle. Everyone welcome.

*Congratulations to Brendan Mc Veigh and the Down team on the win over Armagh in the McKenna Cup on Saturday past.

* Scor Sinsir coming soon, anyone over 16 and willing to take part in quiz, singing, music or dancing should let Houston McVeigh know asap.

* Ulster GAA officer training this Saturday for those new to positions on club committees. See James Cunningham to book your place.

*Level One Coaching in early February, places are limited and must be booked now.

* 'First to the Ball' coaching night on Thursday 19th January, only 3 places left, see Vince McAlinden if interested.

* U6 & U8 Football recommences on Saturday 14th January at 10am and 11am respectively. All offers of help appreciated, a rota is available at Dunavil.

* Table Quiz in Clonduff on 12th January at 9pm, team of four required to include one Irish speaker.

* Pitch Maintenance seminar in Drumnaquoile on Tuesday 24 January, see Pat Rodgers to book your spot.

* Club referees are reminded of the important Referees meeting on Wednesday in the Burrendale Hotel - that's Anthony, Gavin, Michael, Neil, Roy - new refs should also attend. Contact Michael O'Rourke for further information.

* Meeting to form Football Committee and oversee coach/manager appointments on Tuesday 10th January at 7.30pm. if interested please attend.

* Finance & Social committee meeting on Wednesday 11th January at 7.15pm at which the years fund raising activities will be booked, new ideas and new members especially welcome.

* Irish Dancing resumes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from this week.

* Millennium Volunteers will be at Dunavil on Wednesday evening, 11th, at 6.30pm to talk about gaining recognition for volunteering.

* U10 & U12 Football resumes on Thursday 12th January from 7pm to 8pm in the sports hall.

* There is Texas Hold 'Em Poker in the club on Friday from 8.15pm.

* Coaches are reminded of St Columbans practical coaching seminar on Saturday morning.

* Camogie Registration Day is Sunday 15th January from 1pm to 3pm at Dunavil, all camogs should attend during those times to be registered to play in 2012.

* Down Games Development are holding indoor hurling blitzes at Dunavil from 12pm to 2pm on Sundays in January.

* The Camogie committee meets on Thursday 19th January.

* The GAA Social Initiative programme for 2012 gets underway on Saturday 21 January with a Big Breakfast event which will plan the years activities and a visit from the Southern Trust 'Man Alive' project. The 'Man Van' will cater for 11 appointments for men giving information on health and lifestyle, cancer prevention, blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol with the Man Alive Health Promotion Nurse. Contact Tom Cunningham or the Club to book your breakfast and appointment . You do not have to have played Gaelic Games to take part in the GAA Social Initiative programme and Saturday is as good a time as any to get started.

* Mourne Hurlers AGM at Dunavil at 5pm on Sunday 22nd January.
