Bernard Brogan, Paul Galvin, Michael Murphy and Joe Canning.
Paul Galvin has more Twitter followers than any other GAA star.

The enigmatic Kerry ace is top of the gaelic football Twitter charts with an impressive 45,157 followers. The Finuge man was in second place last year.

The information was compiled by Pembroke Communications.

Fellow former Footballer of the Year, Dublin's Bernard Brogan, is therefore relegated down to second spot, with a mere 41,360 followers.

Donegal's All-Ireland winning captain Michael Murphy is a New Entry at No.3 with 20,059 followers, while Darran O'Sullivan (19,602), Alan Brogan (16,157), Karl Lacey (15,360) and Paddy McBrearty (13,543) make up the chasing pack.

In hurling, the numbers are more modest but still highly impressive: Joe Canning leads the way with 19,827 followers, knocking Donal Og Cusack into second place (14,154).

Eoin Cadogan, Noel McGrath and Brendan Maher all remain in the Top Five, with 11,650, 5,544 and 3,539 followers respectively.

The cyberspace battle will rage on throughout 2013. And we should have some interesting duels on the pitch too!
