Donegal man set for top GAA role

Donegal's Tom Daly will be elected as a Trustee of the Gaelic Athletic Association at this weekend's annual Congress.

The event is to be held in Laois where county man Liam O'Neill will be officially unveiled as the new president of the GAA, taking over from Christy Cooney.

However, it is a proud time for all Donegal gaels also as Aodh Ruadh clubman Tom Daly, who is a former Ulster Council President has been nominated as a trustee.

Daly had been an early runner for the GAA presidency, but withdrew from the race to succeed Cooney at an early stage.
