Any enquires to John Rooney on 086-2587793. ~ LADIES ~ The Intermediate Ladies got their bid for championship glory under way in cracking form when they took on Naomh Columba in the park on Sunday. It was a one sided affair for most of the game with the Ernesiders taking control from the very beginning. A fine performance from Tanya O'Shea and Sarah Patton in the middle of the field proved unstoppable and the duo fed some excellent ball into the forward line who made every shot count, racking up the scores in quick succession. The formidable Anna Rafferty showcased her speed and skill in the half forward line setting up some fine scores. Donna Martin slotted home two goals and sent the frees awarded to the Aodh Ruadh side sailing over the bar. There were stellar performances all over the field and the final score wrapped up at 3-14 for the home side with the visitors managing to register 0-2. A big thank you to all the supporters who cheered on the girls from the sideline. Another thank you to our sponsors M.V.'s who provided new jerseys for the Ladies team this year. Pictures from the game and the new jerseys can be viewed on aodhruadh.org. Congratulations to Donna Martin who was named as Intermediate captain for the year. No doubt she'll do a great job! The under 14 girls secured another win when they played Naomh Brd last week in their league campaign. The next fixture will see them face a strong Saint Naul's side with a date and venue yet to be confirmed. ~ BORD NA NìG ~ The monthly Bord na nìg meeting takes place tomorrow night, Tuesday 30th June. Next week s jackpot is 1,000Euro Naomh Brid The Senior and Reserve teams played at home to table toppers Fanad Gaels on Saturday evening with neither team picking up points, however in two very entertaining games both the senior and reserves showed improvments which hopefully should pick up points over the coming weeks. Best for the seniors were Thomas Gallagher and Dermot Curristian while Darragh Mc Cafferty and Steven Doherty had good outings with the reserves.   Good luck to David Walsh and the county seniors in the first round of the qualifiers against Carlow this coming Saturday   Commiserations  to Shane Walsh and the Donegal minor panel who were narrowly beaten in the Ulster semi-final against Down in Clones last Saturday.   Senior and reserve training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30 at Pairc Naomh Brid.    Orders are now being taken for  Naomh Brid tracksuits priced at approx. 50euro each. NAUL'S NOTES SENIOR / RESERVES Mixed fortunes for seniors and reserves last Sunday with the reserves having a very good win at home to Malin while a much under strength senior team lost out to the same opposition. We wish Brian McCabe and Shane McDevitt speedy recovery from injuries sustained in last week's senior game. Both teams play Gweedore at home this Sunday at 1.30 and 3 o'clock respectively. LADIES A much weakened St Nauls ladies team endured a frustrating trip to Convoy on Sunday last and put up a heroic battle before eventually going down by 5-9 to 2-6 to the local team St Mary's. They could only muster 15 players to make the trip due to holidays and injuries and were dealt a severe blow when midfielder Denise Quigley went over her ankle after just a minute of the game and could play no further part in the game. Despite this St Nauls were much the better team in the first half and led by 2-5 to 1-4 at the break with the Convoy goal coming from a highly questionable penalty, adjudged to have been a foot block when a shooting Convoy player's foot struck Leanne McInaw on the knee as Leanne went to block. But the sapping heat began to take its toll and St Marys, with their extra player and fresh subs took full advantage and struck four goals without reply and when Catriona McGinley had to go off injured it was curtains for the gallant band who never gave up until the final whistle. The team was; Emma Quigley; Geraldine Sheerin, Siobhan McDyre, Leanne McInaw; Alisha McBrearty, Allison McGready, Catriona McGinley; Maria Breslin, Denise Quigley; Caoimhe Maguire (0-2), Annaleigh Breslin (1-3), Donna Kelly ((1-1); Ciara Boyle, Jody McInaw, Karen Kelly. SLOTTO There was no winner of the Slotto jackpot last weekend; winner of 80 Euro for nearest to correct sequence was Raymond Nolan, Mountcharles. Sequence drawn was 3-6-5-4-1-7 & 2, the previous weekend Hugh McNern, Keelogs and Kerrie Quinn, Dungannon won 40 euro each for nearest to correct sequence. This weekend's jackpot will be 2,750 Euro.
