Campbell appeal rejected

June 26, 2009

Donegal hurling manager Eamonn Campbell
Donegal hurling manager Eamonn Campbell has had his appeal against an eight-week suspension thrown out by the DRA. Campbell was suspended following the referee's report into an incident that allegedly occurred following the Ulster championship clash with Armagh. He insists on his innocence but his appeal to the Disputes Resolution Authority has now been turned down. The county team manager has already missed all Donegal's games in the inaugural Lory Meagher Cup. He will now miss this weekend's semi-final clash with South Down and the July 11 final at Croke Park (if Donegal progress).
