Coaching Meeting This Thursday 18th June at 7.30 pm a meeting will be held in Dohertys Ardara with all the Coaching Officers of the 15 Clubs in the South. Terence McWilliams and Tony Scullion well known Ulster Coaches will also be in attendance. This meeting is being held to try to improve Coaching in Clubs and Schools within the Southern Region. It will hopefully set up a Plan and put a system in place so that each Club and School will benefit from it. There will be a followup meeting then with at least three people from each Club. Summer Camps The first Summer Camp in the South will be held in Dungloe from Mon 29th June to Fri 3rd July. Camp Co-ordinator is John Ward 086 6036406 Secretary on Holidays The Southern Board Secretary Declan Cunningham will be on holidays from 14th to 24th June. All correspondence and matters should be sent to Michelle Bennett Assistant Secretary. Referees to be contacted Clubs with home matches are asked to contact the Referee in advance as a reminder of the match fixture. There are still a number of clubs who do not carry out this procedure and as a result matches have to be postponed. Bibs It has been noted that some Clubs are not wearing their Bibs during matches. It is imperative that all Clubs wear the Bibs during matches for the duration of this year. Holiday Period The Southern Board have set the Holiday Period for 2009 from Friday 1st August to Friday 8th August (inclusive). No games will take place during this time. Tweet
