Slaughtneil are just 60 minutes away from completing a Derry SHC and SFC double following the footballers' semi-final replay victory over Dungiven at Owenbeg yesterday.

The maroon and whites will go in search of their first SFC title in a decade when they face holders Ballinderry in the final. They laid the foundations for a comfortable 1-12 to 0-6 win in the first half when building up a 0-8 to 0-1 interval lead, with Padraig Kelly, Barry McGuigan, Paul Bradley and Gerald Bradley among the scorers.

John Joe Kearney's charges put the result beyond doubt six minutes after the restart when Christopher Bradley netted to make it 1-9 to 0-2.
