Derry forward Cailean O'Boyle admits that they have worked hard on their goal scoring.

The Oakleafers added two more to their tally for the year so far as they defeated Mayo to book their place in the NFL Division 1 final where they will face Dublin.

O'Boyle has been one of the stars of the show for Derry this year and he added another goal to his tally against Mayo last weekend, while he revealed that it was something they have worked on in training.

"It's something that we do like to work on because the simple fact is that goals win games, and that's quite evident in the games, we've played this year," O'Boyle told the County Derry Post.

"The Black card rule has made it more open and you do need to work on it because goals are crucial at the end of the day." Tweet
