Derry receive over £750,000 funding

May 22, 2013
The Derry County Board have received £765,595 in funding for the development of their centre of excellence.

The new 4G facility at Owenbeg will be completed early next year after the county board received the funding from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).

The money is coming from a grant aid and along with the £200,000 that the National Lottery has granted; this will be enough to complete the project.

County Board chairman John Keenan told the County Derry Post: This announcement of funding from DARD will assist Derry GAA in providing a first class full size 4G surface at Owenbeg to address issues such as Health & Well-being, community cohesion and good relations."
