Cathal Mannion returns to the Galway attack ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final clash versus Tipperary at Croke Park.

The Ahascragh-Fohenagh clubman was sidelined for last month's Leinster final victory over Wexford after suffering damaged ankle ligaments but he has recovered in time for this weekend and takes his place at wing-forward.

Jason Flynn drops to the bench as manager Micheal Donoghue decides to make just one change from the side that started the county's second provincial decider success.

Meanwhile, the New York based Jonathan Glynn could play a part against the Premier County after making his comeback from knee surgery.

Galway (All-Ireland SHC v Tipperary): Colm Callanan; Adrian Tuohy, Daithi Burke, John Hanbury; Padraig Mannion, Gearoid McInerney, Aidan Harte; Johnny Coen, David Burke; Cathal Mannion, Joe Canning, Joseph Cooney; Conor Whelan, Niall Burke, Conor Cooney.
