St Brigid's experienced little difficulty in disposing of the challenge of Sligo's Tourlestrane in the Connacht Club SFC at Hyde Park yesterday.

Frankie and Garvan Dolan netted the goals as the holders finished with seven points to spare over the visitors.

Right corner-forward Frankie struck for the game's opening goal and wind-assisted St Brigid's led by 1-6 to 0-1 at the half-time interval.

Garvan Dolan's goal arrived early in the second half and it was a game over as the scoreboard read 2-6 to 0-1 in the Kiltoom side's favour.

Veteran 'keeper Shane Curran thrilled the home support when pulling off a trademark acrobatic save to deny Cathal Henry a goal in the second half.
