What a weekend in store

St. Michaels and Curraha will be hoping to reach the IFC final

Followers of Meath GAA are spoilt for choice this weekend with some very exciting finals and semi finals to look forward to.

Pairc Tailteann plays host to two IFC semi finals, the IHC final replay and the JFC final.

The race for the Mattie McDonnell Cup is a very hard one to call with the four teams, Oldcastle, Nobber, Curraha and St. Michaels all in with a good chance of winning it.

Na Fianna and O'Mahonys go at it again on Saturday to see if they can break the deadlock in the IHC final replay. A Barry Slevin point deep in injury time gave Na Fianna another chance against the favourites who will have to line out without county star Cormac Reilly.

Over in Simonstown, it's the ladies senior football championship final. A new name will be inscribed on the cup as Boardsmill and Oldcastle go head to head for outright honours. Both teams will be looking to make up for previous years disappointments.

Moylagh and Meath Hill meet in the Junior football championship decider. The last time these clubs won championship silverware was 1975, Moylagh (IFC) and 1980 Meath Hill (JFC). A large North Meath support is expected in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday.

Cortown and Longwood have an early start on Sunday morning in Kildalkey to decide the destination of the Division 4 FL title.

Trim is the venue for three camogie finals. After the thrills provided by the county team on two occasions a big crowd is expected at Lomans Park. The senior final is a repeat of last year's decider. Kilmessan, who defeated Kiltale on Wednesday in their semi final will look to extend their remarkable hold on the county title.
