Last weekend proved an outstanding one for St Peters Dunboyne GAA club. Their three adult teams won their championship games while the clubs talented Under 16 squad claimed the Leinster Under 16 Division 1 football league title.
In the hoganstand.com Meath senior football championship St Peters followed up with their opening round win over Duleek Bellewstown with a one point win over Wolfe Tones at Pairc Tailteann. Fiachra Ward put the Tones in the driving seat midway through the first half with a fine goal. Dunboyne, playing against the wind fought back and went in at the break level, 1-6 each, thanks to a well taken goal from Stephen Moran. Chances where few in the second half and with time almost up a draw looked on the cards. With one last attack to ball fell to Donal Lenehan out under the stand and he sent over the winner just before the final whistle sounded. Final score St Peters Dunboyne 1-10 Wolfe Tones 1-9

After reaching last years Junior A championship final the club's second team got this years campaign off to a great start with a three point win over neighbours Dunshaughlin. Dunshaughlin led 2-6 to 1-4 at the break. Ger Robinson got both goals for the winners while David McEntee, who came on as a sub for the Meath minors in that win over Laois, sent over two points. Final score St Peters Dunboyne 2-10 Dunshaughlin 2-7.

There was also success for St Peters in the Junior C championship when the 'Black and Amber' recorded a 2-11 to 2-8 win over St Michaels.
In the Leinster Under 16 Division 1 Football League Final Dunboyne defeated St Lomans from Mullingar. The talented St Peters boys came out on top with a comfortable 4-12 to 2-2 win in Dunboyne.
