Mayo manager Stephen Rochford believes that his defence will be facing one of the strongest Sligo forward lines in years this Sunday.

The sides meet at MacHale Park in the Connacht SFC quarterfinal with a meeting against Galway being the 'prize' for the winners.

Rochford is fully focused on the clash against Sligo and he believes that any team that can leave a forward with the calibre of David Kelly on the bench, deserve respect.

Speaking to the Western People he said: "The result in New York didn't surprise me. They have a really strong forward line; I can't remember watching a Sligo team in the Connacht championship with a forward line that has been quite this strong.

"They can leave David Kelly on the bench for whatever reasons, so it's a forward line we'll certainly be fully aware of and understand the threat of."
