Shane Nally may have taken a while to make the breakthrough to the Mayo side, but he is now keen to make the most of his opportunity.
Nally has been brought in from the cold so to speak by Stephen Rochford over the past two years, having emerged as a real talent in 2008.
Now the Garryowen man is getting a lot more game time with the Connacht side, but he knows that he will have to remain on top of his game if he is to retain his place.
"I went under the radar a bit since 2008. I got my chance when Stephen brought me into the panel last year and I was absolutely delighted. I got a good run of games in the league last year and this year I have gotten a bit more game time," said Nally.
"Competition in this panel of players is absolutely ferocious and if I can get any kind of game time at all I'm absolutely thrilled with it."
