Louth manager Peter Fitzpatrick
As expected, Peter Fitzpatrick has been officially ratified as the new Louth senior football manager.
The Clan na Gael clubman's appointment was rubber-stamped at the County Board's meeting on Monday night.
He has been handed a three-year term with a review after the first two years, and will also manage the county juniors team next year.
A link between the senior set-up and the county U21s will be provided by Johnny McDonnell, who is a selector in both camps.
Martin McQuillan and Gerry Cumiskey are Fitzpatrick's other selectors, with Shane McGuinness as liaison officer.
Outgoing Board chairman Paddy Oliver enthused: "Peter will bring an infectious enthusiasm to the job. He's a player's man. He's a courageous man for taking the job on but he never flinched as a footballer and I know he won't flinch as Louth manager."
