Teenager stalls Castletown celebrations as Camross steal draw
October 23, 2005
Sixteen-year-old Zane Keenan earned a draw for Camross as Castletown were denied the Laois county title at the death. Five minutes of injury time was enough to ensure a replay on Monday, October 31st (O'Moore Park, 2pm).
Castletown had looked as though they were going to win their eighth senior title as they hit seven unanswered points in the second half.
Entering injury-time, Camross' substitute Tomas Burke reduced the gap to four points before Keenan put one score between them with a point.
When forward Damien Culleton was pulled down, Keenan drove the ball to the net to restore parity.
