Holders Donegal and Louth will meet next weekend after romping to victories over Monaghan and Sligo respectively.

Ray Durack's Donegal side bounced back from their preliminary round defeat to Roscommon to trounce Monaghan by 3-26 to 0-15 in Letterkenny, with Ciaran Mathewson, Danny Cullen and Sean McVeigh accounting for the goals.

At one stage earlier today, it looked like the game wouldn't go ahead after Monaghan had reportedly given a walkover, but they were able to muster up a team and fulfil the fixture.

Louth are also back on track after their loss to Fingal last weekend. They walloped Sligo 4-19 to 0-9 at Dowdallshill after leading by 4-9 to 0-1 at the break.
