Cork's Ciaran Sheehan
Cork's Ciaran Sheehan is hoping to be fit for a potential Munster SFC semi-final against Kerry on June 10.

Sheehan played his first competitive game since rupturing his cruciate ligament in last summer's Munster final against the Kingdom when lining out for Eire Og in their 1-12 to 1-5 Cork IFC victory over Cloyne last weekend. He is hoping to have another run-out with the club's hurlers before the possible visit of the Kingdom - who must beat Tipperary first - to Pairc Ui Chaoimh next month.

"It's just great to be back playing championship with the club and I'm delighted with came out on top," the 21-year-old attacker told The Irish Daily Star.

"Thankfully the leg is fine. It's been a long road back, but to be back out playing for the club is brilliant and hopefully we can drive on from here for the rest of the year."
